Behind our brand
We believe you can design any life you want and that if you can dream it, you can achieve it. We'll prove it to you every day by sharing our journey with you, empowering you to take the necessary steps towards your dream.
There's another way, a path less taken. Some call us bohemians or free-spirited, but we're part of a global tribe. Our community believes there are no bounds or boxes. They're open to possibilities. They nurture creativity and see the magic in the mundane.
We take authentic photos of fellow adventurers, telling their unique stories, and sharing their stories through our lens. We'll help you appreciate the beauty in your everyday lives.
From designer to client
If you didn't already know, I have a background in design. I've been doing design and photography equally for about eight years. One of the most challenging things to do as a designer is to design something for yourself. Can you imagine trying to give yourself a critique of your own work? Let me tell you, the process is daunting, and you end up going around in circles.
This time around, I reached out to a designer for help! For anyone who isn't familiar with design, the process may seem overwhelming. Fear not, I'm going to break down what the process was like for creating our logo.
Creating a mood board to set the tone
Although we veered ever so slightly from our original mood board by using different fonts and colors, it helped set the project's overall tone and convey it to our designer. Typically, the designer will create a mood board based on your initial consultation. I jumped the gun by creating one ahead of time.
You can find examples of mood boards in various places online. We also use mood boards for our clients, helping to create a unique experience for each one. They can even include motion and sound! Adding words to your imagery can help to put your thoughts into words.

Revise, revise, and then revise again
Logo's are a tricky business. They tend to take on a life of their own. Many companies begin thinking they want something "epic", like Apple or Nike's logo. What most businesses tend to forget is that each of those significant companies went through iterations of logos. They started with an idea, built upon it, and continued to do so as their companies evolved.
The logo you have today will not likely be the one you have 5-10 years down the road. It's easy to compare yourself with others and want to stand out in your industry, but restraint is vital. Focus on just one or two elements that speak to your brand and incorporate that into your logo.
A new logo, eccentric and traditional
When we started thinking of what we would want for our logo, we created a list of values we thought were important. We wanted an organic and natural with earthy colors. We loved traditional typefaces and iconography, which is why we incorporated the quill in earlier concepts. We wanted something that would juxtapose our eccentric nature with our traditional values.
Staying grounded
Choosing colors wasn't as difficult for us. As an adventure brand, we knew we wanted our brand colors to reflect nature. Combining natural elements with our moody editing style meant choosing a dark brown color as our base and brighter colors to highlight other areas of our brand values.
Organic shapes that speak to the spirit
We want our graphics to be representative of us. So we went with curved lines, circles, abstract and fun shapes. These shapes and icons are organic with rounded edges, reminiscent of nature and it's various elements.
